On April 28, 2021, Fountain was the target of a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack. We took immediate action by activating our Cloudflare security system, and we can report that our systems are back to normal operating status.
At this time all data and systems have been and remain secure, and no security breach has been detected. In addition, we have notified and are working with law enforcement authorities. As our systems reopen under close vigilance, our customers may experience slower-than-average speeds and intermittent outages.
We understand that these outages may have a significant effect on our customers’ day-to-day operations, and we want to emphasize we are handling this situation with the utmost care by employing the following best-in-class security measures and systems.
Again, the security of our customers’ systems and data is of paramount importance to us. We plan to continue our transparent communication with our customers as part of our thorough investigation into this incident.
